  These things are great,. They stay in place and are comfortable when climbing for long treks and then protect when bombing downhill at 30 MPH. i was just looking for shin guards only but the bike shop only stocked these so I bought the knee/shin combo and I am glad I did. I was riding downhill at 30 over small rocks/boulders and the rocks were kicking up from my tires and nailing my shins and knees. Thanks to these I was protected very well! They stay in place!

  These are bomber! I'm a big dude but I ride hard and had trouble finding pads that would actually fit around my calves and quads. i contacted Brad at Lizardskins, and he was able to sew some extra length on the pads for a nominal fee. The pads fit great. They've saved my bacon more times than once. they stay put when you wreck, they're comfortable while you ride, and I wouldn't run downhills or all-mountain without 'em. Add to that the legendary customer service of lizardskins, and you've got it made in the shade. tip: keep the quad strap not too-snug, and the upper calf strap snug- they'll stay put while you pedal and if you crash, but won't fall make their way down your leg because of the movement of your quads. Buy these- I can't say enough good things about them.
